The annual flood protection exercise of Stadtentwässerungsbetriebe Köln (StEB) will take place on 6 and 7 September 2024.

Citizens aged 16 and over can actively participate and learn how they can protect Cologne from flooding. The programme includes filling sandbags and building sandbag walls. Anyone interested can register for a three-hour training course via the StEB website. The aim of the event is to strengthen operational readiness and improve cooperation between helpers, municipal offices and aid organisations. Catering will be provided.
