Grüne in Bavaria and Upper Austria demand increased flood protection !

The Grünen from Bavaria and Upper Austria have signed the "Bavarian-Upper Austrian Flood Protection Pact" in Passau. In this demand paper, they call for the creation of sponge landscapes, the construction of retention basins and a doubling of flood protection budgets, among other things. The Bavarian Grünen criticise Minister President Markus Söder for his "flood dementia" after every flood and call for close cooperation between the two regions in order to minimise the risk of flooding.
