Green roofs against heavy rain

"Green roofs" as an aid in heavy rain. From dark clouds it pours continuously. Heavy rain turns narrow roads into wild streams within minutes. Reports of severe storms and their consequences are also piling up in northern Germany. In the town halls, millions of years of damage are reflected in how streets and houses can be better protected against heavy rain.

Alliance against the flood

Nine municipalities between Steigerwald and Main want to do something together against flooding. The city council Gerolzhofen agreed to award the contract for a concept.

Cologne - water march! That sounds like a lot of fun at temperatures well over 30 degrees. But the 250 firefighters from Cologne and Niederkassel are sweating. They rehearse together with the THW and under the critical scrutiny of the experts from the city drainage companies (SteB) from Cologne for emergencies. Their goal is to protect Cologne from flooding, and then every grip must be on, cooperation and technology must work perfectly.
